Must-See Art Guide: Milan
Milan, capital of fashion, is also a contemporary art hotspot.
Milan, capital of Lombardy and prominently featured in Vittorio de Sica’s and Luchino Visconti’s movies, is the second-most populous city in Italy, after Rome. Known as the financial center of the country, Milan also hosts a wide range of cultural and international events, such as Fashion Week and the Universal Exposition, taking place in 2015. Art lovers can appreciate the Santa Maria delle Grazie, a UNESCO World Heritage Site decorated with Leonardo da Vinci paintings, while soccer fans can follow the games of its two major teams. In addition, the city plays host to a number of local art events. Check out works by some of the most well-known Italian artists at Jerome Zodo Contemporary, including Agostino Bonalumi, Enrico Castellani, Dadamaino, and Lucio Fontana, among others.
