Despite a couple “heat wave” days (we here in New York like to break out the shorts as soon as it hits 50°), winter shows little sign of letting up anytime soon. So why not embrace it? The three fair ladies of Charles Levier’s Jeunes Filles, Corses give a spot-on example of how to do cold weather with aplomb.

First, you’ll need a chic vintage coat – the more dramatic the fur trim, the easier to nuzzle up in during an unfortunate gust of wind off whatever body of water you happen to be languishing near. Second, you’ll want a breezy, Françoise Hardy–style haircut with perfectly tousled bangs. A smokey eye and a sidelong glance complete the devil-may-care aesthetic. Feeling unfinished? Try adding a touch of color in the form of an elbow-length glove or a random bouquet of flowers. When you look this perfect and French, no one asks questions.
