Dominique Lévy Opening London Gallery

New York based gallerist Dominique Lévy has announced that she will be opening a new space in London this autumn. The blue chip dealer’s London space will be located at 22 Old Bond Street, in the vicinity of the Royal Academy of Arts in the Mayfair district. The building, built by the Duveen family in the 19th century, is based off the design of a Venetian palazzo.
The London branch will be directed by Lock Kresler who previously served as Christie’s Director and Head of the Private Sales Department for Post-War and Contemporary Art. Kresler will be assisted by Eloise Margoline, formerly of Almine Rech Gallery.
Announcing the trans-Atlantic expansion, Lévy said: “Our gallery’s program and culture represent an ongoing, spirited dialogue between Europe and America. These two cities serve as the capitals in an international art world–crossroads and destinations for the most ambitious and enlightened collectors, visionary museum professionals, and enthusiastic and discerning audiences. With a complementary space in London, we will work even more closely with our Europe-based collectors, artists, and estates. It has been my personal dream to have a space in London and we are thrilled to be opening in Old Bond Street.”
