Gavin Turk Will DJ an Anti-Fracking Party in London

On Wednesday March 12, formerly Young British Artist Gavin Turk will step out of his studio and behind the turntables at an anti-fracking benefit in London. The fundraising concert is being headlined by electronica band Asian Dub Foundation, with Turk holding down the wheels of steel and posters designed by sculptor Cornelia Parker. The event, dubbed “We Need to Talk About Fracking,” will also mark the launch of a new anti-fracking beer from Kent-based brewery Hop Fuzz, “What the Frack?”, which boasts a label designed by Bob and Roberta Smith.

The event, to be held at the Roller Disco on Miles Street, will help fund five major anti-fracking demonstrations near potential fracking sites around the UK. Admission is £12, and tickets may be purchased here.
