The world record for the largest spray-painted mural by multiple artists was broken by a female street art collective in London over the weekend. More than 100 women artists from all over the world came together to paint Leake Street, a road running under Waterloo Station nicknamed “Banksy Tunnel” and known for its plethora of graffiti art.

The six-hour mural creation was part of Femme Fierce, a festival celebrating female street artists worldwide, and drew participants from the Middle East, Africa, South America, and Europe. In addition to earning a place in the Guinness Book of World Records, the mural, done on a pink background, hoped raise awareness for Breast Cancer Care and raise funds for International Women’s Day. Guinness will officially confirm the record in six weeks’ time.
