Spotlight on ArtRio 2013

The third edition of ArtRio will take place on September 5–9.

This week, Rio de Janerio is set to host one of the largest art fairs in Latin America, drawing over 120,000 visitors from all over the world. The city touted by the New York Times as the top destination of 2013, will surely deliver a great fair experience for collectors, professionals, and art lovers alike. Entering its third year, ArtRio, held September 5–9, will feature over 100 galleries from around the world at Píer Mauá, Rio de Janerio, Brazil. The impressive roster of internationally renowned galleries was carefully selected by a discerning committee that includes art world luminaries such as Alexandre Gabriel, Anita Schwartz, Cecília Tanure, Greg Lulay, and Matthew Wood. Artists like Beatriz Milhazes (Brazilian, b.1960), Brazil’s highest paid artist who just had a major retrospective open at the Paco Imperial Cultural Center in Rio de Janeiro, will have works included in five gallery booths, including Galeria Fortes Vilaça.
