In Season 4, Episode 1 of The Madness of Art Jim’s friend Charlie Hewitt invites him to the cultural community of Chautauqua in upstate New York.

Jim Kempner Fine Art is a New York-based contemporary art gallery, featuring artists such as Eric Fischl (American, b.1948) and Jim Dine (American, b.1935).

In the season 4 premiere of The Madness of Art, Jim’s friend Charlie Hewitt (American, b.1946) invites him to the cultural community of Chautauqua in upstate New York. Jim takes classes in everything from printmaking to pottery, and at the end of the week, he faces his first crit.
