What: The 2014 Hugo Boss Awards

When: November 20, 2014

Where: The Guggenheim

Who: Hollywood starlets Kate Bosworth, Margot Robbie, and Nicola Peltz, alongside fashion designer Jason Wu, and blogger Bryanboy. Artists in attendance included nominees Camille Henrot and Charline von Heyl, Kehinde Wiley, Shelter Serra, and Lucien Smith.

Why: Who doesn’t want to be the first to hear (and therefore tweet) the news? Plus, award winner Paul Chan is an exciting multidisciplinary artist who also runs his own publishing company, Badlands Unlimited.

The Moment: The anticipation leading up to the announcement was palpable. Once the crowd finally knew who they were celebrating, it was time to really let loose. As for Chan, he seemed remarkably calm about the whole thing. When asked if he was nervous to have a solo show at the Guggenheim as the prize stipulates, he responded “not at all.”
