La Biennale Des Antiquaires takes place this September in Paris. It is the premiere showcase of antiques in the world and a beacon for the ladies who seriously shop and the style conscious decorator: founded in 1956, the dream was to create an event where the beauty of the objects on show could compete with that of the women who came to visit the exhibition. To give prospective buyers and exhibitors a taste of the expected excesses of the fair, the Consulate General of France held a soiree: champagne, hors d’oeuvres, and of course beautiful things were everywhere.
