Zurich, the largest city in Switzerland and one of the world’s biggest financial centers, is home to a number of museums, including the Le Corbusier Center, as well as art galleries offering a wide range of artworks for every kind of art enthusiast. Typography lovers should pay a visit to the “Weingart Typography” exhibition at the Museum Gestaltung, which marks the debut show for Wolfgang Weingart in Switzerland. Or, take some time to enjoy artworks by Enoc Perez, whose show “New Paintings and Sculpture” is featured at Thomas Ammann Fine Art, and Ana Pais Oliveira, with “Architektur und Farbe” at Art Forum Ute Barth. You can also wander between Limmatstraße and Ankerstraße to discover photographs by Adán Vallecillo at Christinger de Mayo, Abstract paintings by Martin Disler at Freymond-Guth Fine Arts, and Franziska Furter at Lullin+Ferrari.

If group shows are more your style, stop by Galerie Wild, presenting exciting works by Sam Francis and Niki de Saint Phalle, while the Helmhaus Zurich, a museum dedicated to Contemporary Swiss artists, will exhibit artworks by Albrecht Schnider and Giacomo Santiago Rogado. Many of the group shows taking place in the city coincide with the Zurich Galleries Season Opening, with selected works by Georg Baselitz and Thomas Ritz, among others, at the Fabian und Claude Walter Galerie, and “OPTIMA MIHI IN CHARTIS” at the Galerie Römerapotheke focusing on works on paper, as well as Galerie Proarta, which is celebrating the end of summer with colorful artworks by artists including Kazumasa Mizokami, Ritums Ivanovs, and Sabine Tress. Whether you’re an art professional or an art lover, Zurich is the place to be this fall season.
