It’s only been two months since New York City was inundated with art fairs, and this week we’re back at it all over again and we’re already wiped from wading through the crowds. The big kahuna, Frieze New York, opens to the public today, returning to Randall’s Island for the fifth time and bringing with it plenty for you to see (and hear) with talks, site-specific works, and of course uber-cool things to eat. Your cultural intake shouldn’t stop in the white tents, however, because there is plenty to see the old-fashioned way. From Skarstedt and Michael Werner Gallery to Bortolami and Leslie Feely, we’ve exhausted your list of unmissable shows. Good luck out there.
