Director Thomas Riedelsheimer is returning to theaters this month with a follow-up to his acclaimed 2001 documentary, Rivers and Tides, about the British land artist Andy Goldsworthy. For the new film, Leaning Into the Wind, which will be released in the US on March 9, Riedelsheimer quietly follows Goldsworthy around as he moves about various landscapes, selecting sites for his often ephemeral works set in the natural world. Sixteen years after the initial documentary’s release, Goldsworthy is older and more fragile—but also more ambitious.
