Okay Beijing, it’s going to be a busy week. With all the city’s major galleries putting out their biggest fall shows, you’re going to have to do a fair amount of legwork to get from venue to venue. Start strong: Head on over to Pace Gallery for the psychedelic, immersive, and gorgeous installation by teamLAB. This long-running show is one you’ll kick yourself if you miss—its “digital forest” is really unlike anything else on view right now—and it’s finally coming to a close on October 10, so don’t delay. Then, Aura Gallery presents the masterfully loose and subtle paintings of Kuan Yun, which boasts a number of the artist’s most recent output of improvisational, diaristic work. Your next stop might be DE SARTHE GALLERY, where young art star Xin Yunpeng’s solo show has everything from performance to site-specific installation to painting. Don’t miss the artist’s emotional video work in particular.
