Johnen Galerie has announced the line up for their Sommer Kino (summer cinema) exhibition, with the full playlist featured here exclusively, and it looks pretty un-missable.

If you are lucky enough to be in Berlin this July, you could see the program of 13 films, which will be on view with accompanying photography and sculptural works.

Among the films shown are Wilhelm Sasnal’s Kiss, (2004), Candida Höfer and Tony Morgan’s Da Forno (1975), and Ryan Gander’s And you will be changed (Centre Pompidou, Paris) (2014), filmed on location after the de-installation of Pierre Huyghe’s seminal retrospective at the Centre Pompidou in Paris (2013-14).

Also, new works on view by Liam Gillick and Christopher Roth will be shown in Germany for the first time.

Offering a rare opportunity to see such a range of art films, the exhibition allows viewers to enjoy them in a gallery setting.

Berlin based Johnen Galerie has recently merged with Berlin’s Esther Schipper gallery, and the Sommer Kino show is the first exhibition organized in collaboration.
