Mark Your Calendars: The 36th Annual Museum Mile Takes Place on June 10
Every June since 1978, for one night only, New York’s Fifth Avenue becomes a twenty-plus venue block party during the annual Museum Mile Festival. Traffic between 82nd and 105th street gives way to street performers and strolling pedestrians, while nine of the city’s finest museums are free and open to the public for the evening.
This year’s event will be held on Thursday, June 10, from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m., with an opening ceremony at the Museum of the City of New York at 5:45 p.m. Among the expected exhibition highlights are the Guggenheim‘s Italian Futurism show and the Neue Galerie‘s “Degenerate Art: The Attack on Modern Art in Nazi Germany, 1937.”
