The holidays are just around the corner, and while some of you will be enjoying family time or spending vacations in the mountains or on the beach, art lovers will still have the opportunity to experience art in one of the most beautiful cities in the Mediterranean: Tel Aviv. With its collection of over 4,000 buildings built in the Bauhaus or International Style, designated a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 2003, Tel Aviv is also teeming with exciting contemporary artists.

Begin your visit at the GINA Gallery of International Naïve Art, presenting artworks by 35 artists from seven Central American countries. Opening soon, don’t miss sculptures produced by Israeli artist Arik Levy, or works by Carsten Nicolai focused on the subject of sensing. You have a full week to admire selected artworks from the collection of the Chelouche Gallery, including a new series of large-scale, mixed-media paintings on mobile aluminum by Zigi Ben-Haim.

Finish your visit with a group exhibition exploring questions of memory, biography, and the boundaries of photography, with works by Ruth Agassi, among others.

2014 is almost over, so enjoy Tel Aviv, and make sure to see interesting shows before the new year!
