Brad Pitt is a Fan of Nail Art

Yes, you read it right. When Hollywood royalty Brad Pitt appeared at the Palm Springs International Film Festival to present an award, his decorated nails raised a few eyebrows.

Unfortunately, Pitt’s manicure left a lot to be desired. To begin with, only a few of his nails had been painted and the motif, a sort of rainbow-colored zigzag, seemed a little bit on the amateur side.

Which makes us wonder, did Pitt run into the wrong manicurist? Is he preparing for a new, mysterious role? Or has he simply enlisted one of his six children to do the job, to dire consequences?

The Pitt-Jolie power couple have been known to encourage and support their children’s artistic talents. Last August, during the couple’s much-awaited wedding, Jolie surprised the world by wearing a Versace-designed wedding dress whose train and veil were covered with drawings made by the couple’s six kids: Maddox, Pax, Zahara, Shiloh, and the twins Vivienne and Knox (see “Angelina Jolie’s Wedding Dress Was Covered in Her Children’s Art”).

Whoever was responsible for it, Pitt is not alone in embracing (male) nail art. Actor Johnny Depp, rapper Snoop Dogg, and a host of young Japanese businessmen are all rocking the trend to various degrees of success.
