Pirelli has announced that the renowned fashion photographer Peter Lindbergh will shoot its 2017 calendar.

Widely known for its racy images, featuring scantily clad super models, the Pirelli calendar—which celebrated its 50th anniversary last year—took a more inclusive turn in 2016, when, under the helm of photographer Annie Leibovitz, its pages featured a wider than usual range of women, including Amy Schumer, Serena Williams, and Patti Smith.

This year, Leibovitz has passed the baton to Lindbergh, known and loved for his elegant and stark portraits in black and white of models and actresses, which have graced the pages of Vogue (where he started working in 1978), the New Yorker, Vanity Fair, and Rolling Stone.

This will be the third time the German photographer shoots the Pirelli calendar, which he previously photographed in 1996 and 2002, according to Complex.

He is in fact the first photographer in the history of the calendar to be granted such an honor, a detail that he proudly announced in an Instagram post, adding:

“I want [to] use this opportunity to show the sensibility and raw emotions of a group of women I know, love and deeply admire for many years,” the photographer wrote on Instagram. “To realize this challenging project, we are traveling to Berlin, Los Angeles, London and New York,” he revealed.

The photographs of Lindbergh are part of the permanent collections of prestigious museums, including London’s Victoria & Albert Museum; the Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York; the National Gallery of Victoria in Melbourne; the Pushkin Museum in Moscow; the Fondation Van Gogh in Arles, and the Fonds National d’Art Contemporain, both in France.
