Barack Obama is in Los Angeles this week to give out this year’s National Medal of Arts—to James Turrell, Bill T. Jones, and others—but he might not like what he sees lining the city’s streets. Inspired by the US President’s attendance at a $32,400-per-guest fundraiser at the home of Shonda Rhimes on July 23, creator of the hit political drama series Scandal, an artist has launched a street art campaign around the city calling out Obama for the various scandals that have marked his tenure as commander in chief.

Installed on city benches, electrical boxes, dumpsters, and other available surfaces, the street art pieces feature a black-and-white portrait of the president under the word “SCANDALS” in bright red letters. The backdrop for the works is a cluster of words evoking various scandals of the past six years, including “NSA,” “ISIS,” “Obamacare,” “Recess Appointments,” and more.

Though many speculated that the conservative street artist Sabo (of whom Glenn Beck is a big fan) was behind the campaign, but he told The Blaze that the artists responsible had merely consulted with him before unleashing the anti-Obama art without him.

“I literally trained them how to do it,” Sabo said. “They showed me the art a couple of weeks ago and I thought the branding was weak and told them so…I honestly thought I was gonna be in on it and do it … but for whatever reason, they did it early. I just could have helped them do a better job.”
