Mother’s Day is upon us. This year, rather than putting together, say, a digest of artworks about motherhood or something like that, we decided to do what you are supposed to do on Mother’s Day: text your mom.

For the sake of the experiment, a sample of our writers asked their very game mothers if they had any questions about their wayward progeny’s chosen field of work. From nurses to art dealers themselves, they bring a variety of art-world expertise to the table. We have to admit that in certain cases, we think they may have been humoring us. Moms are wily!
