After briefly dating 59-year-old artist George Condo, former child star-turned fashion designer Ashley Olsen has reportedly set her sights on another much-older man, financier and art collector Richard Sachs.
The 30-year-old was spotted with her new admirer at a spin class in Manhattan on Friday morning, where the couple openly engaged in some public displays of affection, reports the Daily Mail. And as it turns out, the pair were photographed walking and cycling around the Hamptons only days earlier.
“They sat in the front row of the spin class and rode bikes next to each other. They were affectionate after the class despite being sweaty,” a spin class attendee told Page Six. “They were canoodling and cuddly when they left holding hands,” the witness added. “He looked like he could be twice her age. There’s no way that’s his natural hair color.”
Sachs was described as “a bigwig in the art space,” according to a source cited by Page Six. “He has a lot of money from working in finance,” the unnamed contributor continued. “He’s a great guy who owns a lot of art. I believe he’s in his late 50s. He’s always at the art parties.”
Another source divulged that Sachs is “a really good guy. His passion at this point in his life is supporting young artists. He is very private and a little eccentric.”
The news comes after Olsen’s short-lived romance with Condo seems to have subsided. The designer, who started her own fashion label, the Row, with twin sister Mary-Kate, has been linked to other mature gentlemen, including 49-year-old film director Bennett Miller and 47-year-old Oliver Peoples CEO David Schulte, although she also allegedly dated the more age-appropriate Hayden Slater, the 33-year-old founder of Pressed Juicery. For her part, Mary-Kate is married to 47-year-old French banker Olivier Sarkozy.
