Kanye West and Kim Kardashian have hired the 70-year-old Belgian art dealer and interior designer Axel Vervoordt to help decorate their Los Angeles mansion.

West and Vervoordt both share a taste for minimalist design, which has been West’s aesthetic of choice since at least 2007, when he hired the minimalist architect Claudio Silvestrin to design his Manhattan loft. (Kardashian is reportedly turning things over to her’s husband’s vision.)

The hip-hop mogul is collaborating with Vervoordt on every aspect of the house, according to TMZWhen complete, the home will reflect Vervoordt’s signature style, which is characterized by tonal elements and custom-made furniture.

The power couple’s investment into their Hidden Hills mansion has already grown in value by nearly $20 million since they bought and refurbished the property, which once belonged to Lisa Marie Presley, in 2014. With Vervoordt’s touch, their investment could well increase even more.

Vervoordt’s multi-pronged art and design business in Belgium and Hong Kong spans ancient to contemporary art, as well as the decorative arts. His reach also extends into curating, having co-organized a group exhibition at the Palazzo Fortuny last year to coincide with the Venice Biennale. Most recently, he spearheaded the development of Kanaal, a large cultural and residential development in Antwerp.
