We’ve learned that there’s an annotated version of Christian Viveros-Fauné’s takedown of Klaus Biesenbach on Genius (see MoMA Curator Klaus Biesenbach Should Be Fired Over Björk Show Debacle). And it’s hilarious.

The first comment made by the annotator, Christopher Glazek, an editor of the site, related to the headline. A suggested alternative? “MoMA Curator Klaus Biesenbach Should Be Fired Over the Debacle of His Instagram.” Needless to say, Biesenbach’s Instagram was an overarching theme. (Here’s Glazek’s annotation of his own story about Stefan Simchowitz—see Christopher Glazek Annotates His NYT Stefan Simchowitz Story.)

It’s worth a gander, but here are some of the funnier points:

1. “The Bjork show is an excuse to air grievances over his often-annoying social media presence.”

2. Viveros-Fauné described Biesenbach as “Übersocial.” The editor asked, “Is this capitalized because KB loves to socialize in Ubers?”

3. When Viveros-Fauné noted the curator can’t keep an appropriate distance with his famous subjects (seen through his Instagram), Glazek writes, “It’s ultimately a matter of photography. There’s a way to insta yourself with James Franco and Lana Del Rey that keeps it classy, but KB never figured it out.”

4. The editor adds to the former point by saying, “maybe the real problem is the captions. The trick with Instagram is you have to be a great photographer AND a great writer to pull it off. This Insta, for example, bears the captions: ‘double hitchcock-“bird” and “psycho” remix, being surprise attacked by a bird on the way to the shower… off to work now’.

5. Then he showed us this picture:

Klaus Biesenbach with Picasso’s grandduaghter Diana Widmaier-Picasso, and Kim Cattral. “pretty lol”

6. Finally, the Genius editor says, “if KB can survive this, he can survive anything. Even if he does get fired, he’ll still be Instagramming his window, and we’ll still be following.”

True. So true.
