MoMA PS1 recently announced their lineup for this year’s Warm Up concert series, and New Yorkers can expect a summer of pulsing sounds delivered by a group of international DJs.
Every Saturday from June 11 through August 27, musical wizards from across the globe will be delivering their sets with the occasional surprise performance thrown into the mix. The concert series kicks off with DJ Premier, Deantoni Parks, and Brooklyn’s very own female DJ collective Discwoman, which is comprised of dj haram, Volvox, UMFANG, and BEARCAT,
It’s satisfying to see DJs like Nancy Whang, Kamaiyah, and Juliana Huxtable invited to the lineup. Huxtable, whose work made waves at the New Museum’s triennial last year, will be hosting a set with the performance collective House of Ladosha on July 9.
