New York-based graphic designer and illustrator Zak Tebbal has published an hilarious Kanye West-themed children’s book that tells the story of West’s hit song Bound 2, Complex Magazine reports.

The pink bound publication, titled Bound 2Gether, is a love story featuring West and Kim Kardashian, who is portrayed as a small yellow chick. When Kardashian goes missing, he searches “all night and all day” for her. In the end, Kanye learns that “one good chick is worth one thousand chickens.”

Tebbal’s project brilliantly blurs the lines between parody and children’s entertainment. Is the story an illustrated (and censored) translation for kids of Kanye’s explicit music ? Or is it a thinly veiled parody of the already lampooned Bound 2 music video, also hilariously re-enacted by James Franco and Seth Rogen?

In an interview with The FaderTebbal said that the project was part of his design thesis at the School of Visual Arts in New York, whose brief was “to take an important piece of art and translate it into another medium.”

“The translation of Bound 2 into a children’s book felt appropriate because the only audience that Kanye isn’t reaching right now is toddlers, and they are missing out on some of the important life lessons that Kanye has to offer,” Tebbal explained. “As a big Kanye fan, I felt the need to fill this void.”

West is a bona fide art lover, so he will surely appreciate that his love life has been turned into artistic material (see Give Newly Appointed Dr. Kanye West a Chance to Curate the Venice BiennaleKanye Claims His Daughter Was Conceived “Among Renaissance Masterpieces”, and Kanye West Curates With Richard Prince, Anish Kapoor, and Cecily Brown).
