Image: Dirty Looks film series presents A One Man Show by Grace Jones at the Kitchen.

1.The Kitchen’s film screening of One Man Show:
The Kitchen will be screening iconic experimental film, A One Man Show, a concert video that was created by Grace Jones and Jean-Paul Goude. The event will include an introduction by cultural critic Tavia Nyong’o and curator Bradford Nordeen with a video by artist Rashaad Newsome.

2. Brooklyn Museum Artist Discussion: This Place:
Join curator in charge of the Department of Photographs at New York’s Metropolitan Museum of Art along with photographers featured in the Brooklyn Museum’s upcoming exhibition, “This Place.” Rosalind Fox Solomon, Thomas Struth, and project initiator Frederic Brenner will discuss documenting Israel and the West Bank as well as their artistic practices.

3. Juliana Huxtable at Aviv
The popular Brooklyn music venue is hosting a performance by artist and DJ Juliana Huxtable. Huxtable got her start mixing tunes so its doubtful that she will disappoint.

4. Second Sunday at Pioneer Works:
Every second Sunday of the month Pioneer Works opens up their studios to the public. This Sunday live music will be provided by Arabic-music ensemble the Bil Afrah project and Ethiopian inspired band Lions. There will also be an site-specific intervention by artist Seth Kranzler. Also catch a live recording of #TrashDay, Kenya (Robinson) and Doreen Garner’s radio program at Clocktower Radio upstairs.

5.MoMa PS1 Sunday Sessions: Valium Valentine:
Don’t have any V-day plans? Then hang out with Miike Snow, Andrew Wyatt, and German artist Sarah Ortmeyer for a six-hour improvised musical performance. Ortmeyer will transform the dome into a planetarium, for lounging and listening to music under the stars. Other musicians that will be performing include Hisham Bharoocha, Heather Goldin of Beau, Damon McMahon, Charlotte Kemp Muhl, Empress of, Zanna Van Vorestenbosh, Charlie XCX, and Nick Zinner.
