The fotofever fair joins in the fun of Paris’s “month of photo” celebration.

With over 100 featured galleries (40 more than last year’s edition) representing a number of different countries and specializations other than photography, the three-day fair is one of several photography-oriented festivals this year in the city of lights, which has become a hotbed for photography, especially among young collectors.

fotofever holds an annual competition open to students and recent graduates from French art schools. This year’s winner of the fotoprize, Laure Fauvel, has been selected on the strength of her series “Cévennes,” which the jury heralded as “a perfect mastery of lighting.”

Founded by Cécile Schall, fotofever is geared toward young collectors and promises “to encourage young generations, passionate about photography—a medium of communication par excellence—to inspire new collectors and to share the collector’s fever,” according to a statement provided to artnet. There are a number of items specifically designed for those beginning their collections of photography. Marked with red stars, these photos all range in price, although none will cost more than €1000.

Other galleries featured at the fair’s third edition include Studio Harcourt, Galerie Agathe Gaillard, 798 Photo Gallery, as well as Japanese galleries Emon Photo Gallery and Nap Gallery.

fotofever runs November 14–16 at the Carrousel du Louvre, 99 rue de Rivoli, 75001 Paris.
