Miami appears to be down one star-studded art event this week, as Solange Knowles’s planned slate of curated performances at the SELECT Fair’s amphitheater has been cancelled, without explanation. PR for the fair says it has been postponed until the fair’s spring New York edition, whatever that means. Either way, it looks like the much-hyped and much-anticipated Miami series is DOA.

Announced in October, the performance series was set to feature an array of musicians from Saint Heron Records, the record label founded by Knowles the younger. Concerts were to be held each night at 7 p.m. in the SELECT tent on Collins Avenue, which is free and open to the public. Sounded cool right?

Though Miami may be Solange-less for 2014, fans of art and celebrity are still eagerly awaiting the sure to be art selfie-studded arrival of older sister Beyoncé and her husband Jay-Z. The couple heavily documented their trip to Frieze London and the Louvre on social media earlier this fall.
