Susan Sarandon stepped out with former flame Jonathan Bricklin to attend the opening of Georges Bergès Gallery in Soho in New York (see Georges Bergès on Discovering Emerging Artists and the Importance of Looking Beyond Bushwick).
The 68-year-old Academy Award-winning actress, who is 31 years Bricklin’s senior, arrived at the gallery in a black floral meshed top, frayed black denim, and black and pink Nike trainers to match. Bricklin looked like he was homeless a blue checkered button down and grey slacks.
Jonathan Bricklin, son of Malcom Bricklin, the American automobile entrepreneur, said in a past interview with New York Post‘s Page Six of his relationship with Sarandon, “she’s someone I love more than anyone I’ve ever been with and that won’t change.”
During their six year relationship, the two filmed themselves for six months for an AOL series titled Connected. Bricklin told the paper, “This show brought out a lot of stuff in me. This process was like psychotherapy with video. It added challenges to a relationship. And because she’s so public, there were lots of challenges having a relationship with her to begin with.”
The Dead Man Walking star also said in the past they were not an “ordinary couple.” She added, “it’s the soul of a person that interests me. When you are in love, the questions of age, sex, colour no longer hold any importance.”
