Sex as art is nothing new: think of Jeff Koons and La Cicciolina, Andrea Fraser and her “sex tape” performance, Vito Acconci and his masturbatory marathon Seedbed

Now a 26-year-old, Berlin-based artist is taking the idea to new heights: Mischa Badasyan is planning a performance which will involve him having sex with a new person every day, Metro reports.

The artist intends to use sites such as Gaydar to find potential “fellow performers” and theorizes his piece borrowing the concept of “non-place” from the French anthropologist Marc Augé’s seminal book Non-Places: Introduction to an Anthropology of Supermodernity.

Daily casual sex will transform him into “a non-place,” Badasyan says, “so it’ll be like a supermarket. I’ll go on the date and then I’ll go back.”
