This month, the New Art Dealers Alliance (NADA) and the Community are joining forces to bring a dynamic new fair to the Parisian art scene: The Salon by NADA and the Community. Slated to land in the city of light October 17–20, 2024, the Salon is an invitational fair that promises to showcase some of the best contemporary art available drawn exclusively from NADA’s network of galleries and the Community’s network of non-profit arts organizations.

The fair will be staged across three floors of the former Baccarat Factory and Museum, marking the first time the venue has hosted a public fine art and cultural event, with its distinctive architecture rife with atriums and visible remnants of the building’s storied history. Situated in the 10th arrondissement, the Salon by NADA and the Community will host more than 50 galleries, art spaces, and non-profits hailing from 18 countries and 24 cities. Participating exhibitors include 52 Walker, New York; Cadet Capela, Paris; Pangeé, Montreal; and Sorry We’re Closed Brussels, just to name a few.

Complementing the various exhibitions will be “The Salon Presents,” a programming series that will culminate with an art book fair on October 19, that will bring together book stores and dealers, publishers, libraries, and more for visitors to explore the expansive world of art in print.

“Following successful art fairs and exhibitions in Miami, New York, and Warsaw, The Salon marks another major milestone for NADA. We are thrilled to partner with the Community on a fresh art fair experience and to contribute to the burgeoning scene in Paris,” said NADA Executive Director Heather Hubbs. “Together with our amazing network of artists, dealers, and supporters from around the world, we look forward to collaborating and showcasing new voices and presentations in contemporary art.”

NADA, a non-profit with a mission centered on fostering and supporting new and emerging voices within the field of contemporary art, was founded in 2002 and is recognized widely for both its roster of contemporary international art galleries and professionals as well as year-round events and programming. Based in Paris and founded in 2016, the Community is an avant-garde arts institution that maintains an exhibition space as well as presents international programs. Combining their respective experience and expertise, the Salon by NADA and the Community offers a new fair paradigm for art collectors and enthusiasts alike to experience.

The Salon by NADA and the Community represents our founding mission to continually challenge and explore the ways art is experienced. The collaborative initiative’s pioneering spirit is rooted in the historic Parisian Salons, reimagining the art fair format for the 21st century and offering a dynamic exploration of today’s cultural and artistic landscapes,” said the Community Founder and Director Tuukka Laurila.
