The first-ever Lyon architectural biennial was touted as a place for the starchitects the world over to bring impressive displays of innovation and creativity. In one of his famous Black Paintings, Goya mined the darkest corners of his subconscious by illustrating the Greek myth of Titan Cronus (Saturn) devouring his child. Fearing that he will be overthrown by one of his sons, he eats them at birth. Ben Street, an art historian and lecturer, drew parallels between the myth and the current political climate.

6. Queen Mother Beyoncé

Just as the twitterverse was dropping off to sleep last night, Beyoncé went and broke the Internet again, with more than 6.5 million likes. In her latest Instagram post, the bodacious singer introduced her twins Rumi and Sir Carter to the world. The iconic picture comes courtesy of the Los Angeles- and Paris-based photographer Mason Poole.
