Looking forward to Christine Macel’s international exhibition at the Venice Biennale, “Viva Arte Viva,” which launches this May?

To help you gear up for the show, the organizers are releasing a video per day dedicated to one of the 120 artists participating; you can find them on this page, with a link next to each name. Some are interviews, some are studio visits, some are projects by the artists themselves.

Here are a few that caught our eye from the ones posted so far:

Charles Atlas
In this droll offering, a costumed “trofessor” (troll/professor?) recalls being a young “treacher” of a second-grader named Charlie Atlas. He recounts running into him years later in New York and going for a studio visit that revealed works that “I don’t have the trocabulary to describe.”

Jelili Atiku
The Lagos-based performance artist tells us about how his works are meant to “reactivate human nature,” and decolonize spaces.

Nevin Aladağ
Watch a yellow balloon take flight and descend, as a hardy camera crew follows along.

Leonor Antunes
After an uncomfortable time with the balloon, luxuriate in these loving shots of Dutch Structuralist architect Aldo van Eyck’s Hubertus House, in Amsterdam.

Michael Beutler
Ever seen a time-lapse video of a man creating a floor sculpture by unrolling a length of aluminum foil from under the little cart he’s riding on? Well, now’s your chance.

Karla Black
Known for sculptures and installations incorporating materials like lipstick, glitter hair spray, and moisturizing creams, Karla Black submits a joyous video, just a few seconds long, of a very young artist at work.

Michel Blazy
A studio visit with the Monegasque artist reveals that he’s turned objects, ranging from sneakers to a MacBook, into planters.
