Art Basel in Miami Beach is about to open, and the art world’s merry-go-round is currently revolving around South Beach. But while dealers are checking that their Gerhard Richter is hanging 100% straight and collectors are mapping their itineraries, the rest of us are left in the cold, scrolling through our Instagram feeds wishing that we, too, could enjoy art in the Floridian sunshine.

There’s a solution: to help you vicariously enjoy the fair through the smart phones of those in attendance, we have compiled a selection of the best instagram accounts of the curators, artists, critics, and museum directors to follow, with help from the Huffington Post.

The art world has embraced Instagram to such an extent that the fair is hosting a panel discussion on December 4th on Instagram as an Artistic Medium. It’ll gather Instagram co-founder Kevin Systrom, as well as notable art world Instagramers such as Co-Director of the Serpentine Galleries, Hans Ulrich Obrist, Chief Curator at Large at MoMA and Director of MoMA PS1 Klaus Biesenbach, and auctioneer, curator and collector, Simon de Pury (all whom are on our list). The panel will be rounded off by artist Amalia Ulman and moderated by Bettina Korek.

So if you’re not one of the 75,000 people expected to attend the fair this year, at least you can still speak authoritatively on what the leading international galleries are showing and the coolest spot to hang out.
