Art Élysées, Paris’ premier art and design fair, comes back to the French capital in its 9th edition this year. The fair brings together over 70 galleries presenting a broad spectrum of modern and contemporary art and rare 20th century furniture.
Coinciding with the contemporary art fair FIAC, taking place from October 22 to October 26, Art Élysées offers collectors of design and furniture an exciting destination to visit during the Parisian art week.
In a dedicated section, over a dozen dealers specializing in design will display their wares.
Visitors can look forward to sculptural furniture by Yves de la Tour d’Auvergne at Messine Gallerie.
Meanwhile, Desprez-Bréhéret Gallery will present a booth filled with furniture and objects from the 1940s to the present, with a focus on natural materials.
Galerie Avril is due to exhibit exquisite examples of furniture and 20th century design objects by the likes of Geneviève Dangles, Guariche Pierre, and Marc Held.
The fair’s art section presents a selection of galleries showing a range of exciting modern and classical contemporary works.
The prestigious Samuel Vanhoegaerden gallery is set to presents modern masters such as Tom Wesselmann, Alexander Calder, and Fred Eerdekens.
Galerie Baudoin Lebon developed a reputation for its eclectic offerings spanning painting, sculpture, photography, and installation. This year the gallery is showing a selection of works by Korean artists who blend eastern and western artistic influences.
Galerie Loft, specialists in Chinese contemporary art and emerging contemporary artists, adds an element of cutting-edge flair to the mix of exhibitors. The gallery also works with design furniture from the likes of Yazid Oulab, Mauro Corda, and Guillaume Piéchaud.
Galerie Fleury will present works from modern painters ranging rom cubism to abstract art. The Gallery is due to bring 20th century artworks from artists such as Geer van Velde, Albert Gleizes, and Fernand Léger.
Jany Jansem of Galerie Matignon traditionally promotes modern and contemporary art and will take works leaning towards figurative art from a mix of disciplines including painting, drawing, sculpture, decorative art, and photography to the fair.
Meanwhile, Cannes-based Galerie Hurtebize specializes in 20th century post-Impressionist and Modern painting, showing works by Pierre-Auguste Renoir and Pierre Soulages, as well as French figurative masters such as Bernard Buffet.
Art Élysées takes place on Paris’s Avenue des Champs-Élysées from October 22 – 26.
