The portrait is painted using the artists's feces Photo: The Daily What

Street artist KATSU has created a portrait of Facebook founder and CEO, Mark Zuckerberg, using an unusual medium: his own feces, the Daily What reports.

The gallery website says that the show includes “shit paintings that are meticulous renderings of tech giants in control of more information than the government, created from the compromising bio-matter of the artist.”

It isn’t the first time that KATSU has depicted Zuckerberg. In 2013, he made a series of prints showing the entrepreneur with a black eye, which he posted around the streets of New York. At the time KATSU told Gizmodo “He’s [Zuckerberg] this mutation, this gross aspiration everyone idolizes. His face has reach. He deserves to be ridiculed,” adding that “With the internet being literally woven into the human experience I cannot stand by and not voice my discontent with those who plan on owning our lives.”

The portrait is part of the artist’s latest solo show Remember the Future at the Hole Gallery in New York, which deals with the theme of humans’ relationship to, and interaction with, technology.

The show also features a reinterpretation of Andy Warhol’s Marilyns painted using drones with spray cans attached to them─a technique pioneered by the artist─a monitor showing the video game Grand Theft Auto V being played by the artist “from an undisclosed location” during the gallery’s opening hours, and a pile of neon-colored 3-D printed guns, which sits in a pile on the gallery floor.
