Fourty-one year old cross-dressing art curator and director of Fiorucci Art Trust, Milovan Farronato, and Agniezszka Sikorska, a manager at Groucho Club in London, were embroiled in a he-said-she-said affair that ended today when Farronato was aquitted of racially aggravated assault.

Last year in May, the Italian curator supposedly punched Ms. Sikorska when she refused him entry into the trendy nightclub since he wasn’t a member. Allegedly the brawl left Ms. Sikorska with a bloody nose and swollen eye, which the court had pictures of, but Mr. Farronato denied her allegations that he had racially abused her before “slapping” her.

He did say he probably cut her nose with a large silver ring he was wearing at the time and said he also told her she had “terrible hair.”

Ms. Sikorska’s recollection of the affair began when she encountered the curator and his friends who were “quite loud and noisy and not very nice to staff.” When they entered a section of the club reserved for members, she asked them to leave but they insisted on staying for a drink of water first. After she asked them again to leave, Mr. Farronato allegedly called her a “fat f*cking Polish b*tch” and then grabbed her hair and hit her two or three times.

“The next thing I remember,” she added, “I was behind the bar with two guys who were cleaning my face and putting a napkin with ice on it.”

With the prosecution calling upon only one witness, and without substantial evidence, District Judge Tan Ikram said he couldn’t be sure who was telling the truth. He thus found the defendant not guilty of racially aggravated assault according to the story, reported by the Daily Mail.

Mr. Farronato, who appeared in court wearing red lipstick, an embellished leather jacket, and high heels stated he felt “discriminated” against because of the way he dressed.

For some reason, this story reminded us of an earlier one involving a Monet painting (see €10 Million Punched-Out Monet Goes Back on View).
