We know that you just recovered from the Velcro wall and the Fluxus labyrinth at Frieze New York 2015 (see Brian Boucher Survives Sweaty Dudes, Mazes, and Velcro Suits at Frieze New York), but you might as well start getting ready for Frieze London and Frieze Masters this October. We’ve got an early look at the exhibitor lists.

Dealers paid anywhere from $26,000 up to about $79,000 for booths at Frieze London 2014.

The 13th edition of Frieze London includes north of 160 exhibitors from nearly 30 countries. It’s the fair’s first edition under the leadership of new director Victoria Siddall (see Frieze Founders Hand Over Reins to New Director).

Among first-time exhibitors this time around are Cheim & Read (New York), Galerie Kamel Mennour (Paris), and Simon Lee Gallery (London). In the Focus section, comprising younger galleries, newcomers include Antenna Space (Shanghai) and Hopkinson Mossman (Auckland).

Returning for the second year is Live, a section dedicated to performance and participatory work. Billed by organizers as among the highlights is an “intimate encounter” by artist Amalia Ulman, who is known for her fake Instagram account that detailed her faux cosmetic surgery enhancements, and had the hashtag #frankenboob. In an interview with Art in America, the conceptual artist said, “I’m very intrigued by the relationship between female bodies and pain, and how the latter is taken for granted.”

Frieze Masters, in its fourth edition, has 131 galleries showing art from antiquity to the 20th century.
