The swanky home of Holly Golightly, one of New York’s most iconic fictional residents, is now on the market. According to Elle Decor, the Upper East Side bachelorette pad featured in the beloved film “Breakfast at Tiffany’s” is on sale for the asking price of a cool $8 million. While the exterior is instantly recognizable, the interior differs a bit from the movie, which was actually filmed on a soundstage. But with 3,800 square feet, four bedrooms, high ceilings, wood-burning fireplaces, and a solarium, something tells us the future resident will have no problem feeling every bit as glamorous as Audrey Hepburn herself.

The brownstone, which is located at at 169 East 71st Street, was listed just three years ago for $5.85 million. According to the New York Times, the building was formerly owned by Peter E. Bacanovic, who spent five months in prison for his role in the Martha Stewart insider trading fiasco. He purchased it for a comparatively paltry $1.88 million in 2000, dividing it into two duplex apartments. It’s now a sunlit, four-floor, single-family home, where we only hope some lucky girl will have the pleasure of screening the classic film.

But at today’s prices, it’s hard to imagine the bohemian socialite who made the place famous could ever afford to live there. Maybe she could try breakfast on Bedford Avenue?
