What would today’s art world be like without so much speculation? Probably a better place on the whole, but what better time to ponder the highs and lows of whims and trends than Art Basel Miami Beach! Indeed, one project on-site at the Convention Center will be offering up speculations of the celestial kind.

Located inside the bowels of this year’s NOVA section is “Sωαмρ οƒ Sαgιτταяιμs,” an artist-bar (now an established sub-genre of installation-cum-pop-up) organized by curator Agatha Wara and artist Naomi Fisher, who also leads BFI, one of the city’s most established artist-run spaces.

Within visitors will encounter astrological advisers Morgan Rehbock and Marty Windahl, who will be doing natal chart and Tarot card readings all day Wednesday and Thursday, and from 1 to 4 pm, Friday through Sunday. For a by-donation appointment, email swamp.sagittarius[at]gmail.com ASAP.

Aries (21 March – 20 April)

Why so serious Gemini? A new sense of professional focus transformed your life this fall when Saturn entered Sagittarius. But before you get down to business in Miami you need to chill out and hit refresh at the pool to give your brain a rest. Art fairs aren’t known for being inspirational, but this year you’ll be receiving an infusion of creative energy, straight from the stars above, that helps you get through the Art Basel experience. You are the center of attention as the week begins under a Leo moon. Be aware that this might cause you to feel a bit emotional, especially after a few drinks. Don’t worry about sending the wrong message or leaving a bad impression—everyone will be exhausted and your introspection will simply come across as a minor case of art fatigue.
