Acclaimed photography fair Paris Photo was forced to close early this November after a series of terrorist attacks took place in the French capital.

The fair, which was slated to run from November 12-15, was packed during the attacks on November 13, but closed its doors following the tragedy on Saturday, November 14, and Sunday, November 15. The fair and its organizers, Reed Exhibitions France, have announced that they will recoup participating galleries with a 20% reimbursement for their loss of expected sales during these days.

“Paris Photo was obliged to close its doors Saturday and Sunday November 14–15, thus depriving the event of more than 25,000 expected visited during the course of the final two days of the fair,” organizers said in a statement.

However, the 20% reimbursement will only apply to exhibitors who paid in full before the fair opened its doors, which may mean a lot of galleries could be out of luck. But for those who paid up front, the money will help reimburse investment costs, as well as other hefty expenses related to showing at the increasingly popular fair.

The 19th edition took place at the Grand Palais, with 147 galleries from 34 countries represented.

Paris Photo’s Los Angeles iteration will return to Paramount Pictures Studios for its fourth edition this year. It will take place from April 28–May 1, 2016.
