Silicon Valley Contemporary, the brand new art fair that aims to bridge the gap between wealthy young techies and cutting edge contemporary art kicks off this year at the San Jose McEnery Convention Center, running April 10–13, and has just released its list of exhibitors for the inaugural edition. Organizers tout the fair as being “the first art fair in the heart of California’s technology industry mecca, connecting select international exhibitors with this highly desirable market through innovative programming and events.” In a special section, the Moving Image Experience video pavilion, curated by Paul Young, leading new media artists will be shown in a flat screen only presentation outside of the usual gallery booths. Here is the list of 50 galleries that will be participating in the first edition.
