Solange Knowles will try her hand at curating in Miami this year. Well, sort of. Beyoncé’s little sister has been tapped by the satellite SELECT Fair to curate a selection of performances for its amphitheater, the New York Observer reports.

It might as well be called the “Solange Show.” Only artists selected from Saint Heron Records, the label she founded, will be invited to sing alongside the star.

While Beyoncé and Jay-Z have long been prominent figures on the art circuit—recently credited for turning art selfies into a global phenomenon (see “Beyoncé and Jay Z Elevate The Art Selfie Into a Movement”)—Solange’s involvement with the art world has been somewhat more discreet.

In 2013, she performed as part of Mickalene Thomas’ Absolut Vodka-sponsored bar-cum-installation Better Days at Art Basel in Basel. More recently, she co-hosted a party with artists Rashaad Newsome and Tameka Norris for Prospect.3 in New Orleans.

So for now, Solange is really sticking to the music side of the art world, but who knows where her curating will take her? After all, fellow musician Pharrell has embraced “art proper” with gusto: not only curating for museums and galleries such as Perrotin in Paris, but also directly collaborating with artists, most famously Murakami (see “Does Superstar Singer Pharrell Williams Have a Future in the Art World?“).
