Art Wynwood 2013 consists of 70 international galleries featuring works by promising Contemporary and Modern artists. This fair highlights Street Art, murals, Pop Surrealism, and other genres from the Contemporary Underground movement, which is gaining notice within the market and the realm of art history. The fair also includes After Party events to continue the celebration each night. These events are hosted by The Wynwood Walls on Friday, the BAC (Bakehouse Art Complex) on Saturday, and the DB Bistro Moderne on Sunday.

If you need a break from the rush of the fair, but are still in the mood for something visually and intellectually stimulating, visit one of the many museums or private collections Miami has to offer. Miami is home to various art, science, history, and children museums, including Boca Raton Museum of Art, The Armory Art Center, Norton Museum of Art, and Miami Art Museum.

Art Wynwood is not only a place for the exchange of ideas concerning Design, Fine Art, fashion, and the culinary arts; it has also given life back to the once “downtrodden” Midtown Miami and Wynwood Arts District, which is now considered to be an international art and cultural destination. It is thrilling to see the positive effect art can have on a community and exciting to see what these artists come up with next.
