Over the past two years, the art industry has undergone unprecedented change. Hundreds, if not thousands, of these jobs are now remote; commerce is as likely to happen online (or even in the metaverse) as it is in person.
To help those in the art industry (and those looking to break into the field) navigate this terrain in 2022, Artnet News is teaming up for the second year with Art Market Mentors—a three-month mentorship program initiated by Catherine Manson and Caroline Sayan pairing art-market professionals with established members of the industry—to hold a series of free talks about art-world careers.
In the first talk, we bring together arts professionals with a strong track record for entrepreneurship and reinvention, from a gallery director-turned-career coach to an auction-house rainmaker-turned-startup founder. Together, they’ll discuss how art-market professionals can set goals, cultivate resilience, and get creative about their career paths in the new year.”
An audience Q&A session will follow the chat. (Please note the time zone for the start time.)
