Art Basel is already attracting the well-heeled and well-traveled to its latest iteration, which opens to the public June 16. As VIPs enjoy the preview days and limited-edition exhibits at the main fair as well as Unlimited, Liste, and museums around the city, artnet News has been following the best moments on Instagram—including shots of the mysterious, Maurizio Cattelan-esque Donald Trump sculpture at hotel Les Trois Rois.

As expected, the world’s most important collectors, who are always offered the first bite at the apple, have already made plenty of big ticket purchases as this year’s fair gets underway.

There are plenty of exciting booths to see this year at the main fair and beyond, and dozens of events to attend before the show even opens to the public. (If you’re curious: Here’s What an Art Basel VIP Card Gets You.)

Once the Swiss fair opens its doors for the crowds, there’s always a mad rush to see the much-hyped booths, so check out What to Look Forward to at Art Basel in order to get prepared. (It’s always best to know all the best #artselfie opportunities ahead of time, to ensure one’s peak Instagram performance.) In the past, the exhibition has captivated around 98,000 attendees, and this year is bound to be no different.

Below are the 20 most exciting Art Basel-related Instagram posts artnet News has seen so far, from Pope.L‘s shaggy white gorilla to Cindy Sherman’s latest photography series. Enjoy!
