A Celebration for Jacob Hashimoto’s “Gas Giant” at MOCA

On February 28, MOCA Pacific Design Center celebrated Jacob Hashimoto’s third and final installation of “Gas Giant,” a massive space-altering installation constructed using thousands of thin paper sheets. “Beginning on the ground floor with black-and-white clouds of box kites, “Gas Giant” rises up the stairs and erupts into the second-floor gallery with a kaleidoscopic explosion of light and color,” a museum representative said of the project.
