In addition to the multitude of galleries participating and artworks being shown, the fair has announced its partnership with an array of organizations, including Arts Gowanus, The Art Therapy Project, and Materials for the Arts; as well as artists, including Emily B. Yang, Joy Tien, and Liza Domingues, that will collectively contribute to the atmosphere of the fair, which is accessible to all.

Beyond these collaborations, which include special art installations, collective art projects, and charitable initiatives, on Saturday, March 23, “The Artist Is In” offers attendees the chance to directly encounter some of the artists whose work is on view, with a lighting system indicating in which booth the artist is present and available. For family-oriented visitors, On Sunday, March 24, beginning at 10 a.m. will be “Stroller Hours,” letting families peruse the fair with little ones before the fair opens to the public. Healthy snacks from Fresh Bellies, interactive Play Kits by Lalo, and arts and crafts sessions in addition to the art on view present a creative way to spend the weekend.

Affordable Art Fair New York has become a distinct part of the city’s cultural fabric, and the forthcoming edition—with something for everyone—is not to be missed.

Affordable Art Fair New York will be held March 20–24, 2024.
