Attention all Londoners: if you’re still reeling from the aftermath of #Brexit, consider taking a break from politics and hitting up the Masterpiece London art fair. The event runs through July 6 and you don’t want to miss out, especially if you voted remain—many British artists signed a petition against Brexit and you may find yourself in like-minded company. Over 150 leading galleries participate in this cross-collecting art fair, showcasing works that range from Ancient Greek busts to vibrant silkscreens by Andy Warhol. The exhibitions span over 5,000 years of art history, so if you find yourself overwhelmed by the staggering combination of aesthetics, take a breather and explore the numerous galleries and landmarks nearby. The fair is conveniently housed in the Royal Hospital Chelsea, right in the heart of London’s swanky Chelsea district. Stop by the SAATCHI Gallery for thought-provoking Modern art and installations (and superb high tea), or lose yourself in the posh shops of nearby Sloane Square. By the end of your trip, you’ll be well-dressed, well-fed, and well-versed in the dynamic world of international art (and hopefully, momentarily distracted from the Brexit debacle).
