When technology and street art collides, Banksy GIFs emerge. A tech wiz, who goes under the moniker ABVH, has been taking some of the Brit street artist’s most iconic images and turned them into animated GIFs with stunning results, Complex Magazine reports.

There’s no word on what Banksy thinks about ABVH appropriating his imagery. However, he didn’t take too kindly to fellow street artist King Robbo defacing his murals (see King Robbo, Banksy’s Rival, Has Died). Nor did he appreciate it when his murals were removed from the streets to be exhibited and auctioned at a sale in April last year (see Banksy Calls the “Stealing Banksy?” Auction “Disgusting”).

On the other hand, he’s not against the dissemination of his imagery through the internet. After all, he won the Person of the Year Webby Award last May, for his “Better Out Than In” guerrilla- style residency in New York City, which he meticulously documented online and shared with his 350,000 Instagram followers (see Webby Awards Honor Banksy as Person of the Year).

This isn’t the first time that street art GIFs have been made. The street artist INSA has previously experimented with the medium to create a series of “loading” signs that bemused web browsers around the world.
